The MSBO 2011 Board of Directors election was conducted April 11-20, using the online/email voting system provided by ASBO International. On April 11th when the election was launched, 2,019 eligible voters were sent email invitations to participate in the election. By the close of the election, 723 confirmed votes (35.81% of those eligible) had been cast. Three absentee ballots were cast in this election.
Jeff Crouse, Chief Financial Officer, Charlevoix-Emmet ISD assumed office as the 74th MSBO President at the MSBO Annual Conference. Angie McArthur was elected to the office of President-Elect. Four candidates were nominated to run for three, open 3-year terms to the MSBO Board of Directors. Steve Ezikian, Assistant Superintendent Financial Services of Wayne RESA, Tom Goodwin, Chief Financial Officer of Grand Ledge Public Schools and Mary Reynolds, Executive Director, Business Services of Farmington Public Schools were elected. Mary Beth Rogers, Finance Director of Belding Area Schools rounded out the ballot.
