Time is running out to register for the Innovative Delivery of Non-Instructional Services Workshop being held in Mt. Pleasant on March 6, 2012! We’ve finalized the agenda and confirmed speakers and facilitators, now it’s time for you to sign up for this “innovative” workshop experience.
What’s innovative about an MSBO workshop? We’ve combined our general “sit and get” style of workshop with a collaborative style breakout session to give you the best of both worlds.
You’ll hear from the experts in a large group session and then break down into your area of interest for a facilitated “peer-to-peer” session where you will share directly with your colleagues on the various challenges and opportunities everyone is facing when contemplating changes in service delivery. We’ve chosen facilitators that will share specific experiences regarding their district’s approach to changing how their respective services are delivered. We’ll then get back together as a group, report back from each of the service areas and give the “notes” from the break-outs as a take away. We will close with something we all can use - tips for effectively communicating the decisions made after the dust settles from your analysis of service delivery. It’s sometimes not what you say, but how you say it that gains support.
Still not sure if this is right for you? We surveyed the membership last fall and over 150 respondents said, “if you build it, we will come.” We’ve built what we believe is the first session we know of addressing this issue in this format. Don’t reinvent the wheel, come and learn from your peers who are dealing with the same pressures you are when it comes to reducing costs!
