MSBO Board Opposes Ballot Proposals

The political season has arrived and with it comes misinformation and much rhetoric. Last month, the MSBO Board of Directors unanimously voted to join efforts to prevent the passage of some of the ballot proposals that make up this November’s ballot.

We have all heard the old joke that the camel is the end result of a committee trying to design a horse. You probably can picture this committee at work - a room full of people in a windowless conference room with bad coffee and poor temperature control.

Underground Storage Tank (UST) Test Prep Training

Michigan school districts with Underground Storage Tanks (UST) are federally mandated to have Class A, Class B, and Class C certified operators for their facilities with UST’s. Class A and B certifications designations require an examination, which is administered through the International Code Council (ICC).

SB-CEUs…SCECHs… It can get Confusing

As you are probably aware, the new Administrative Rules from MDE have eliminated the term “State Board Continuing Education Units” (SB-CEUs). In place of SB-CEU credits, educators will earn “state continuing education hours” and “clock hours” for renewal purposes.
